On the sixth anniversary of the September 11 blasts, Osama Bin Laden will release a video to address the U.S; Al- Qeada’s media Al Sahab reports. It will be the first time since 29th October 2004,Osama will be appearing in a video. His last audio message was in 1st July 2006.
The report had a still photo from the video, showing Laden addressing the camera, with fully black beard . Rita Katz, director of the SITE Institute said that Laden’s beard appeared to have been dyed. It’s a popular practice among the Arab leaders. She also said that it might be for the benefit of Al-Qaeda that he looks young and healthy.
The department of Homeland security said it had no reliable warning information of a imminent threat to the US. The video is expected to be released within the next 72 hours. The website alsohad a banner advertisement with an announcement “Soon, God willing, a video tape from the lion sheik Osama bin Laden, God preserves him.” These sorts of messages used to be put out one or two days before the video is posted on the website of Al-Sahab.
