Outsiders will not be included in National Population Register of J&K State

Srinagar May 18 (Scoop News) – The Spokesman of the Census Department Jammu and Kashmir State, while commenting on apprehensions made by some individuals about inclusion of Non-State-Subject in Census count, made it specifically clear that no Non-State-Subject working in Jammu and Kashmir State will be included in National Population Register Form (NPR) of Jammu and Kashmir State.

In a statement, Spokesman said that any citizen can fill up NPR anywhere in the country but he has to specifically mention his Permanent Residential Address of his village, town , district and State. His unique identify card will be accordingly issued to him from his own place of origin, permanent address and his own State. Accordingly, there is no scope that any non-state-subject working in J&K State will be able to get any place in NPR of the State. His NPR form which he fills at the place where he is working will accordingly transmitted to his place of origin and his own State.   

The Spokesman for this purpose gave specific example of His Excellency, the Governor, of J&K State who has filed the form at Srinagar has very clearly in the form shown his permanent address at Gurgaon, Haryana. Accordingly, his unique Identity Card will be issued for Haryana on basis of his permanent address. The same shall be applicable to all other senior level officers, employees etc who are non-state-subject and working in the State.

The spokesman has accordingly dismissed the apprehension which is being made un-necessary without having any logical basis.
