At tornado hit Greensboro, N.C. last night killing one and injuring three others. Authorities were waiting for daylight to fully assess the damage.
With harsh weather sweeping through the South-East, generating tornados and strong winds, many other states have been hit: a tornado wrecked a shopping mall in Mississippi, strong winds flipped a mobile home in Alabama and several properties were destroyed in Tennessee.
The tornado, in N.C., flipped cars, destroyed trees and power lines, and even blew tractor trailers off the highway. In Alabama, the winds were so strong that Hamilton High School lost part of its metal roof.
Authorities are still estimating the damage in many parts of the country.
