Pak National Lashkar commander & HM militant killed, infiltration inceased in J&K

Jammu,September 4 (Vijay Kumar) – Security forces killed the commander of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) and HM militant in two different encounters in Jammu and Kashmir. Army apprehended an Over Ground Worker of LeT and HUJI outfit in Kishtwar district this evening.
Police and Security Forces achieved a major success by eliminating one top dreaded terrorists of Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit in a fierce gun battle in the mountainous district of  Reasi  in Jammu division today.

Police said that on specific information Army troops of (61 RR) and police launched a joint search operation in jungle area of village Jamlan Tehsil  area of Mahore in Reasi district on Friday.

Soon after the forces reached the target area, militants who were reportedly three in number fired on them, triggering gunfight which continued for an three housr. During the encounter one top Lashkar ultra was killed and operation was going on.

The slain ultra  has been identified as Lashkar self styled Top commander Mohd Ovais alias Abu Zindai of Pakistan. However, huge quantity of arms and ammunition has been recovered from the encounter site which includes one AK 47 Rifle with three Magazines and 50 rounds, Rs.800/- Indian Currenyc , one Pouch , three Cell Phones with four SIM’s and one Diary.

Huge quantity of arms and ammunition has been recovered and the operation was going on till last reports.
In another encounter Police and army killed one HM militant in Poshwani, Pattan in Kashmir. The slain militant was involved in CRPF killings in Srinagar.
Police said that on a specific information Police and 29 RR cordoned village Poshwani, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan, and started search operation. During search operation an encounter took place between militants and the joint party of Police and Army. In the encounter one HM militant Shamim Sada @ Rizwan son of Abdul Rashid Sada resident of Sada Mohalla Pattan got killed.

Kishtwar Police and Army apprehended an Over Ground Worker of LeT and HUJI outfit in Kishtwar district this evening.

The apprehended OGW has been identified as Akhter Hussain Shah s/o Ab Rashid Shah r/o Pati Mahaal Kishtwar.  

Police said that the said OGW was a surrendered militant of LeT outfit and he had surrendered before 11 RR in year 2007. Now he was an Over Ground Worker of LeT and HUJI outfit and supplied Mobiles, SIM Cards and Army uniform to the terrorist of the same outfit.  Police was in search for him and today on a tip off, they in association with Army apprehended him near Bus stand of Kishtwar. One Army dress one Mobile, one SIM and one I. Card has been recovered from his possession. Case to this effect has been registered in PS Kishtwar.

Meanwhile Indian Army chief General Deepak Kapoor on Friday said that in a desperate bid, Pakistan is pushing its militants into India. He said that infiltration is increasing on LOC in Jammu and Kashmir valley in violation of the ceasefire.
Expressing his anxiety, General Kapoor said militants are being made to move in before snow shuts the passes. He said India is fully prepared to meet any challenge at any point of time. General Kapoor said this on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi today.Replying to a question Gen. Kapoor said that Pakistan was going beyond the degree of deterrence needed for its own protection, if reports of its nuclear weapons stockpile were true. This, he said, was a cause of concern for India.
