Islamabad: The Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari addressed the joint session of the parliament at Islamabad today.
He announced to end the governor rule in Punjab province.
He said that his party will sit on the opposition benches in Punjab assembly and his party would support the candidate from the Pakistan Muslim League (N).
He said that his government has talked to Obama administration and there will be no more drone attacks on the tribal areas north western Pakistan.
Pakistanis had pinned hopes with the president’s speech in shape of some relief from the government, to resolve the crisis of power but they were disappointed.
The civil society and politicians were expecting him to fulfill his pledges likewise relinquishing his powers of sending the Prime Minister home and suspension of the assemblies but he didn’t.
