Pakistan Deal is rubbished, Taliban is threat to India.

 

On Tuesday Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee confirmed India’s official unhappiness and refuse Pakistan’s peace deal with the Taliban in Swat valley.

 

Day after forcing a ceasefire deal with Pakistan, cleric Sufi Mohammad Led hundreds of Taliban fighters gathered in the Swat valley. But this total surrender to the Taliban by the Pakistani government is making India alert.

Pranab said, "The fact of the matter is that Taliban is a terrorist organisation. Taliban believes in nothing but destruction and violence. In my assessment, Taliban is a danger to humanity and civilisation."

 

Taliban may soon target Western cultural centres in India, the Intelligence sources said. Now the Taliban threat cannot be underestimated as they are now just 500 kilometers from the Indian borders.

Hillary Clinton The US Secretary of State said, "The activity by the extremist elements in Pakistan poses a direct threat to the government of Pakistan as well as to the security of the United States, Afghanistan and a number of other nations, not only in the immediate region."

 

James Appathuraitold NATO Spokesman said,Even the NATO fears that the Pakistani deal could give Taliban a safe haven. He added "We would all be concerned by a situation in which extremists would have safe haven. It is certainly a reason for concern."

Taliban are known for their brutal methods including beheadings and public executions. By winking at them, Pakistan is not only risking its own future but also raising fresh security concerns for India.
