Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Afzal Tahir Saturday expressed his resolve to never back down on the pace of national development.
He was responding to a query posed by one of the journalists on the occasion of Pakistan and Saudi Arab joint drills.
‘If India has some concerns over Gwadar Port, it may be discussed; however, we cannot stop our progress on concerns from any Tom or Peter,’ he said.
Afzal Tahir arrived at Bandar Island in the open sea off Karachi coastline to inspect the joint war exercises.
Pak-Saudi joint military exercises, named Naseem-e-Bahar, are held every two years.
These exercises feature seven Saudi naval ships and Pakistan is taking part in the drills with nearly all naval ships and frigates.
The chief of Saudi Navy said, ‘That large military drills between two countries are abundant proof of the brotherly relations found between the two countries,’ adding that Pakistan’s largest-scale military exercises are held only with Saudi Arab.
