With last over win against New Zealand in the first warm-up game, Pakistan will take on South Africa in their second and final warm-up match of ICC World Twenty20 2014. Powered by the blistering half-centuries of skipper Mohammad Hafeez and wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal, Pakistan overhauled New Zealand’s 145-9 off the penultimate delivery of innings to register a morale boosting seven-wicket win. Pakistani pace duo Umar Gul and Mohammad Talha delivered electrifying spells and shared five wickets between them. Gul, who looked lackluster in preceding Asia Cup, rediscovered his form and returned the exceptional figures of 4-16-3. Uncapped in T20 Internationals, Talha accounted for two batsmen. Pakistan have a very good pack of young and experience players in batting and bowling departments. They have a very good chance to win the T20 World Cup 2014. This warm-up match really helps to Pakistan to meet India in their Opening match on coming Friday.
South Africa:
South Africa beat the Bangladesh A team in their 1st Warm-up match yesterday by 5 Wickets. The top class fast bowlers Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel are the key players in South Africa side. The explosive opener and the Wicket Keeper Quinton de Kock and the experience AB de Villers are the key players in batting. Recently South Africa lost their 3 match T20 Series against Australia by 2-0. This Warm-up match against Pakistan wills help South Africa to face the T20 World Cup against the strongest teams.
