Pakistan wants to grab nearly 32,000 sq. miles of J&K territory: Bhim

Poonch (Jammu),March 16 (Scoop News) -Jammu & Kashmir National Panther Party (JKNPP) Chairman, Prof. Bhim Singh has said that Pakistan wants to grab nearly 32,000 sq. miles of our territory.He asked Pakistan to hold referendum in POK and Gilgit so that the people in suppression and oppression for the past 62 years under Pakistani dictatorship they may decide their future whether they want to say with Pakistan at all.

Addressing delegates in one day District Convention of JKNPP today at Border town Poonch,Bhim Singh said  that Pakistan has been exposed of its mischief when it proposed Chief Minister and Governor in Gilgit whereas in POK which comprises of Muzaffrabad and Mirpur has a Prime Minister and a President. Why two different systems in the occupied areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Prof. Bhim Singh expressed deep anguish on the attitude of the Union Government towards nearly four millions residents of India in the territories and Pakistan. He further emphasized that it was Pakistan who defied UN resolutions of August 13, 1948. Pakistan was asked to all occupied territories which it did not. He accused National Conference and Congress for the present militancy and terrorism in J&K and appealed the people to throw away corrupt, criminal and communal government.

 

He reminded the Central Government of its failure to mobilize international support on the issue of J&K and further its failure to involve the people of J&K in the process of National Integration. Pakistan’s open defiance of UN resolution has not been brought to the notice of international community.

Bhim said that the government of India even today does not seem to be interested to find ways and means to remove alienation of the people of J&K with interest of the country. Prof. Bhim Singh though agreed with Prime Minister’s proposition that borders with Pakistan shall not be readdressed. The Panthers Party Chairman accused the State rulers since 1947 for demolishing the identity of Jammu region.

 

The other Panthers Party leaders who addressed the meeting included M/s. Bansi Lal Sharma, Advocate and Advisor to JKNPP, S. Daljit Singh, Vice President, S. Paramjit Singh Marshall, Provincial Vice President. Shri Rajesh Sharma, District President presided over the meeting.
