Pakistani cricket players are advised not to visit India: Pak Foreign Office

Islamabad: Pakistani Foreign Office advises the Pakistani cricket players not to visit the India.

The Pakistani cricket players were due to participate in the IPL (Indian Premier League) but PCB (Pakistan cricket Board) sought the advice from the Pakistani foreign office.

The Pakistani foreign office advised the players not to visit India these days because the present situation in India is not suitable for the Pakistani players to visit the country.

Moreover, Pakistani artistes were harassed and threatened by the Hindu extremist groups like Shri Ram Sena and Shiv Sena, who were busy in shooting in some bollywood movies and some other programmes on different Indian channels.

The situation worsened after the Mumbai attacks especially the Pak-India relations and the war clouds were looming over the both countries but due to the efforts of international community and US, the things started getting better to some extent.

The foreign office spokesperson told the media that the Pakistani cricket players were advised not to participate in the IPL due to security reasons.
