Kabul: NATO accuses Pakistani troops of firing at its helicopters in eastern Afghanistan but ISPR has not confirmed any reports so far.
The NATO helicopters were on a routine patrol when they received small arms fire from a Pakistani checkpoint at the border but they did not fire back.
They also added that the NATO choppers did not violate the Pakistani airspace.
Pakistan’s military spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said Pakistan’s military was awaiting a full report from Afghanistan on Thursday’s shooting, but that Pakistani units had "very clear" orders not to fire across the border.
"We are investigating it," he said.
While NATO alleged Pakistani troops of firing at its choppers flying in the skies of eastern Afghanistan, Pentagon termed it a misunderstanding.
