The Government of Pakistan has placed the chief of Jamat-ud-Dawa(JuD)Hafiz Muhammad Saeed under house arrest for a period of three months on Thursday.
The Government of Pakistan has also started clamping down offices of JuD and other banned outfits across the country.
According to the sources,the JuD was put under house arrest for three months in Lahore and a contingent of police was deployed at his residence .
Police began closing the offices of Jamat-ud-Dawa across the country after the UN Security Council declared the organisation a terrorist group.
The assets of Jud and nine leaders have been frozen,the senior Government official said,and there name also placed in exist control list to prevent them from leaving the country.
The regional offices of Jamat-ud-Dawa have also been sealed Karachi,Hyderabad,Islamabad,Rawalpindi,Azad Kashmir.
