Pakistan’s poet Ahmad Faraz is dead

Pakistan’s eminent Urdu poet Ahmad Faraz has died in Islamabad. He was 77.

Faraz was treated in the US for renal failure, heart ailments, and was brought to Shifa Hospital in Islamabad last week where he died on Monday evening. He will be buried at Islamabad’s H-8 graveyard at 6pm on Tuesday, his family said.
