Alaska Governor and Vice-Presidential running mate to Republican nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona, Sarah Palin, had given an interview to CBS’ Katie Couric on Thursday. In one aspect of the interview, there was the issue of foreign policy. They would touch base on the situation with Israel and Iran.
Palin said that she would never second guess Israel. In addition, Palin said she would not second guess Israel if it does decide to attack Iran.
“We shouldn’t second guess Israel’s security efforts because we cannot ever afford to send a message that we would allow for a second Holocaust, for one,” Palin said during the interview.
She proceeded to tell Couric that the United States needs Israel and that the country should not second guess its intentions.
Palin finished off with saying: “It is obvious to me who the good guys are in this one and who the bad guys are.”
One question to be asked is: What does she mean by good guys and bad guys?
We can expect this to be a possible topic to debate late tonight between McCain and Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois. It is inevitable that the GOP nominee and the Democratic nominee will clash with each other on foreign policy.
Perhaps this will be interesting ammo for Obama’s VP running mate Senator Joe Biden of Delaware to use against Palin when the VP debates come. But then again, the VP debates tend to carry less weight than the actual Presidential debates.
But, this is a foreshadowing that the debate between Obama and McCain will get pretty interesting.
