Jammu, November 27(Scoop News)- The Joint Forum of Kashmiri Pandit Organizations today asked the government to settle the geo-political issues concerning Kashmiri Pandits and other minorities and then go on to conduct its murky business on Kashmir. Kashmiri Hindus and Sikhs who are the indigenous people of Kashmir, have the first and natural claim on the territory of Kashmir and there can be no bargaining on the issue without taking into consideration the rights of the Kashmiri Pandits and other minorities of Kashmir.
In a joint press conference held at Jammu today was addressed by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir, H.L.Chatta, President, ASKPC, H.N.Jattu, President, AIKPC, D.N.Kissu, Chairman-ADKPUF, Sardar Prem Singh, President, KSDF and Virender Raina, Official Spokesperson-Joint Forum..
They said that the Union government’s decision to conduct parleys on Kashmir with the Hurriyat factions is unfortunate. The conduct of the government in allowing the meeting of the Kashmiri secessionists with Sartaj Aziz of Pakistan smacks of a deep rooted conspiracy to weaken the Indian position and displays a complete policy paralysis on Kashmir. The way in which Mr. Geelani and others of his ilk have supported and eulogized the role of gun and terror machinery in Kashmir should open the eyes of the government of India. The people of India would like to know the compulsions of the government in allowing such anti-India activities under its very nose.
Kashmiri Pandits welcome the visit of the Prime Ministerial candidate, Narender Modi to the blessed city of Jammu. The leaders said that Shri Modi would address the issues concerning a vast population of the refugees and the displaced people of Kashmir. His visit has the potential to bolster the morale of the nationalist forces in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is expected that Shri Modi would give a befitting and statesmanlike response to the anti-India rhetoric and activities in this sensitive state.
Joint fourm of KPs while talking to reporters said that the visit of Narendra Modi, is going to encourage and invigorate the displaced population along with the Kashmiri Pandits. The Joint Forum of KP organisations has always been in the forefront of the struggle of the nationalist forces in this most important frontier state of the nation and would continue with its mission to strengthen the rightful cause of the nation. The Joint Forum would utilize the opportunity to apprise Nartender Modi about the mass exodus, ethnic cleansing and subsequent privation of the seven lakh displaced people of Kashmir for the last more than two decades.
