Ramnagar/Jammu, December 05 (Scoop News) – R. S. Pathania, senior Pradesh Youth Congress leader today reiterating his demand for CBI inquiry in the infamous cash-for-vote scandal in the recent Legislative Council elections.
In a statement R. S. Pathania alleged that MLAs belonging to Panthers Party had bartering the mandate of people from Jammu.
Mr Pathania while addressing meeting at Dak Bungalow, Ramnagar said that people have returned Panthers Party candidates on three assembly seats and voted for them in other ones on the very ground that they have pledged to fight for Jammu and against pro-secessionist and pro-Kashmir parties. But by repeatedly voting for PDP in the Rajya Sabha elections as well as in two consecutive Legislative Council elections, Pathania said in a statement.
He alleged that Panthers Party remain silent on their controversial stances on Dogra Certificate row, Amarnath land stir and demands like self-rule, dual control, double currency, lifitng AFSPA and making borders as irrelevant, has exposed the ‘secret alliance’ and rather ‘tacit bonhomie’ between both the parties. Both the parties seem to be playing a ‘fixed match’ in J & K while playing true to their constituencies and vote-banks in both the regions while taking the sentiments and aspirations of people of J & K as taken-for-granted.
Pathania further remarked that Panthers supremo, who always has his fingers glued to the PIL-trigger, has been fighting cases of Pakistan nationals and dreaded militants in Supreme Court. But he has never channelised his legal acumen and vast energies for the victims of SASB agitation who lost their eyes, ears, limbs and even lives for the cause of Jammu. He did not whisper a word for the students who were virtually lathicharged and lynched while canvassing and picketing for Central University at Jammu or for revoking the controversial recruitment policy.
Pathania further cautioned the people to not to fall a prey to mischievous and fissiparous agenda of these parties and rather keep a distance from them. Such parties and their ideology is a great threat to the people as well as cause of Jammu and Youth Congress plans to launch a widespread awareness programme which shall start from the nooks, corners and pockets of Ramnagar and shall extend upto entire Jammu region.
While responding to various demands of drinking water, provision of electricity, road connectivity, etc, Pathania promised to project them upto concerned quarters and get them redressed them at the earliest.
Prominent among other who were present in the meeting included Bhushan Modi, Rakesh Bodhi, Tilak Raj, Baldev Singh, Mulkh Raj, Shanti Devi, Bimlo Devi, Vidya Devi, Sant Ram, Govind Ram, Shiv Lal, Tara Chand, Romesh Kumaar, Dharam Chand, Shounki Ram, Noor Din, Manmohan, Parveen Kumar, Pala, Makhouli Ram, Charanjeet, Banti Devi, Joginder Singh, Gopal Singh, Suram Chand and others.
