Jammu, August 13 (Scoop News)-Panun Kashmir convener Dr.Agnishekhar while commenting on the yesterday’s statement of PC Chidambaram in the parliament not to allow repeat of 1990 situation when Kashmiri Pandits were forced to flee from Kashmir Valley,asked GOI to specify the speedy and effective measures ensuring the stay put of Hindu Minorities at Kishtwar and adjoining areas.Dr.Agnishekhar was addressing national executive meeting of Panun Kashmir organised through Global Con-Call in the wake of deteriorating situation post Kishtwar turmoil.
He maintained that the organized attack on minorities at Kishtwar should not be brushed aside as handy work of some anti social elements,it was a well planned conspiracy fraught with the potential danger of engineering forced migration like that of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990.Dr.Agnishekhar said displaced Kashmiri Pandits fail to understand that on one hand GOI quotes statements like non refoulment of1990 situation and on the other hand remains apathetic as ever towards the reversal of exodus and genocide of the community.
Commenting on the situation arising out of Kishtwar riot Kamal Hak,National Spokesperson from NCR said that the communal uprising in Kishtwar and the callous response of the state government to this serious development is a matter of great concern for the patriotic people of the country. The nationalistic people of India also must see these developments in proper perspective and in light of the similar circumstances in 1990, which forced an entire minority of Kashmiri Pandits into exile. The same dastardly process is being repeated again with the active collusion of ruling National Conference government, which sees this as an accomplishment agenda of Sheikh Adbulla’s nefarious greater Kashmir design. Unfortunately, the vote bank politics and the prejudiced responses of the various political parties both in J&K and rest of India is making them blind to the real threats to the sovereignty of the country by the spreading of radical fundamentalism in Jammu province.
Dr.M.K.Raina chairman political affairs presently at New York cautioned the nationalist forces to remain vigilant against the machinations of separatists and Jihadi operatives posing threat to the peace, sovereignty and integrity of the country.He said it is ironic that CM Omar Abdullah in an interview on News Channel erroneously justified his inaptness at Kishtwar by quoting Gujrat violence of 2002.Omar has no moral authority to ask Gujrat Chief Minister to apologize for 2002 riots.Has his father Dr.Farooq Abdullah the then chief minister of J&K state tendered apology for leaving the state in a lurch and fleeing to London in 1990 at a crucial time when he could have stopped the forced mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits?
Sanjay Dattatereya National Cordinator Panun Kashmir while commenting on the state govts decision to order judicial probe to ascertain the persons responsible for mayhem, death and destruction during the attack on the minorities at Kishtwar asked the authorities to specify publically the terms of reference for the probe.He expressed anguish over the denial of the state and central government to govt.to institute commission of enquiry to go into the genesis of exodus and genocide perpetrated on exiled Kashmiri Pandits.
Rahul Kaul National Coordinator Youth For Panun Kashmir from Pune was joined by Veer Wangoo,Rahul Razdhan and Vithal Choudhary from Faridad,Hydrabad,New Delhi respectively in appreciating the huge public concern and outrage across the country and in the parliament over the large scale organized violence committed to the minorities at Kishtwar.
Rajaji Ticku organizing secretary hailed the admission of Mr.PC Chidambaram in the parliament that it was Muslim Fundamentalism and extremism that gave rise to terrorism in the valley in 90’s thus vindicating PK’s stand on the ongoing separatist movement in the valley.
Omji Bhat,Sr.functionary held Chief Minister Omar Abdullah responsible for not taking the preemptive measures well in time to contain the situation at Kishtwar and its irony that Omar Abdullah in a brazen attempt to hide his administrative ineptness tried to shift the focus of the public to BJP for allegedly politicizing the issue.He maintained it was he and Mr.PC Chidambaram who communalized the issue by projecting the victims as Muslims and Hindus.A host of Sr.functionaries of PK from Banglore,Gujrat,Bhopal,Kolkata,London,Australia and Paris participated through Global con-call and expressed there solidarity with the affected Minority members of Kishtwar.
