Jammu, April 19 (Scoop News) –Taking serious note of union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s recent misleading statement published in a section of print media regarding the present condition of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, who as per his assessment are now quite wealthy and happy, Dr Agnishekhar, convener Panun Kashmir expressed his anguish and grave concern about this disinformation by the Dr Manmohan Singh led UPA govt.Dr Agnishekhar asked the Union Home minister to cross – check the informations provided to him by the state and central govt secret agencies which are under the control of his ministry.
Dr Agnishekhar while quoting the statement of the minister said that mr Shinde has not only denied opportunities to displaced unemployed youth at par with Kashmiri muslim youth of the valley to end their sense ot alienation and injustice by bringing them into the mainstream through special professional empowerment schemes,he has even declined on the basis of his feed- back their inclusion in the ‘udaan ‘ like projects.Do displaced Kashmiri Pandits need to remind mr Shinde how well -talked about PM’s special emplyment package for 6000 displced kashmiri youths announced in 2008 was made the instruement of exploitation of the helplessness and despair of the community.doesnt mr Shinde know how till today only 1446 youths were offered the employement that too on unconstitutional conditions tagged to it by the state Govt.
Dr Agnishekhar termed this attitude as part of continued govt policy of apathy and neglect which appears akin to apartheid against exiled Kashmiri Pandits who were forced to pay through their nose for being patriots to the core of their hearts.Dr Agnishekhar linked mr Shinde’s policy statement to the dubious role recently played by all Cong MLAs in the state assembly who ,as per J&K chief minister Omar Abudullah, did not cooperate with him in passage of the much awaited temple and shrine bill under the obvious instructions of cong president Sonia Gandhi .
While once again rejecting the ill conceived state govt’s return -package for displaced Kashmiri Pandits which was reportedly sent to the central govt for approval of enhancement of the estimated cost of the package per family,Dr Agnishekhar maintained unless the core-issue of exodus and genocide of exiled community is addressed ,no return- module would ensure the non- re-foulment of the same. He reiterated the demand of creation of a separate union territory for 7 lac KPs in the valley and appealed the displaced kashmiri Pandits to remain vigilant against the vested interests in the community who play second fiddle to the gallery ignoring the community’s call for not socialising with Cong and NC leaders till the temple and shrine bill is recalled from subject committee and passed ..
