Panun Kashmir to organize 3rd phase of Kashmir Sankalp Yatra

Jammu, April 9 (Scoop News) –    Panun Kashmir is organizing the 3rd phase of the   “Kashmir Sankalp Yatra” in the third week of April 2011. The 21-day Yatra will be led by the President of Panun Kashmir, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, will cover three states namely, Maharashtra, Delhi and Rajasthan.

Addressing a press conference in Jammu today Ashwani Kumar said that in order to make people a part of the awareness campaign on Kashmir. the Yatra will reach out to the people at ten places in the three states,he said.

.Ashwani said, Yatra will focus on three issues, Secessionist conspiracy in the Jammu and Kashmir state, Amarnath Yatra period curtailment and   Demand of Homeland for Kashmiri Pandits in the valley of Kashmir

He also welcomed the movement initiated by the civil society headed by the veteran freedom fighter, Anna Hazare against corruption. The war against corruption has fundamentally taken the position of the ‘second freedom struggle’ in this country.

Ashwani expressed concern the decision taken by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board to curtail the period of Amarnath Yatra by fifteen days this year. This decision is in utter violation of the spirit of the Yatra and smacks of a design to obstruct the smooth passage of the age-old traditional Yatra of the Hindu fraternity.

He condemns this decision which seems to have been taken by the Board under pressure from the quarters inimical to the Yatra. We are in agreement of the contention of the Baba Amarnath Yatri Nyas, Jammu which is spearheading the movement against the ill-advised decision of SASB and extend our full support to the Nyas in its endeavor.
