Parents lamented malpractices of G.D. Langland School and College.

CHITRAL:  Parents of students reading in G.D. Langland School and College strongly criticized malpractices of teaching and administration staff of the school and college. In a high level meeting presided over by Professor Dr. Ziaullah of students Parents association in a local hotel a large number of parents criticized poor performance and malpractices of school administration and teaching staff. They lamented that the college administration not follow provincial government rules of education department for concession with real brothers and sisters in their tuition fee etc. They also condemned misbehave by some students on provoking of their teachers as they entered in their previous meeting and wanted to sabotage it. They said that some 50 million were granted by former president Musharaf to this institution but there is no audit about its expenditure that where such heavy amount goes. There is acute shortage of latrine for students, swing and other equipments for play group at Early Childhood Development Center Balach as this is the only school which avail and entertain more holidays as comparative to other educational institutions as a result precious times of students wasting.  They also did not criticize that mostly teachers of the school not giving home works to their students nor there is check and balance system to evaluate their teaching skill and performance.

It was also revealed by some participants that a number of students are on enrolled here but they reading at Peshawar and come here only at the time of examination. They also expressed their great concern over free education for teaching staff and their relatives in these schools and college. Besides it the school has been divided in 4 portions and not difficult to control by a aged British Principal.  The participants pointed out that cent percent mismanagement and corruption have been raised in the school and their children are badly suffering from this mismanagement. They also criticized that the school administration not celebrating parent’s day and there is no conception of proper audit, monitoring and evaluation by a neutral and impartial organization. They also lamented internal tussles among female teachers of the school causing for bad impact on the future of their children. The participants determined that a unanimous resolution would be passed in their next meeting to sought probe into the matter and inquiry as well as for rectifications of deficiencies of the school and college.   A four members committee was detailed to prepare a draft to be submitted before the Principal as well as Chairman board of Governor of the school for rectifications of these downfall and deficiencies so as to declare it a best educational institution after removing of some habitual black sheep.
