Paris Hilton’s recent arrest for driving on a suspended license and now her recent court hearing and sentencing. Both Paris and her mother Kathy felt that the sentence Paris received was “Harsh and Cruel and Unnecessary”. How is getting 45 days in prison considered cruel, harsh and unjust? Then Kathy Hilton is quoted making a comment along the lines of how a lot of money was invested when her daughter is a grown adult woman who needs to take responsibility for what she does. This is the display and disgraceful parenting that you see right there front and center. Kathy Hilton has no idea how to be a mother because if she was a real mother she would have been telling her daughter she wasn’t trying to hear why she was driving on a suspended license. Paris got off fairly easy with 45 days because a charge like hers could have cost her a couple years in prison and she’s trying to use her celebrity to get her out of messes she gets into.
The law is clear and if non-celebrities have to follow it so should the rich and famous. Since when were they entitled to use their fame to get themselves out of things they get into. There’s this thing that today’s society has failed as a whole across the board with all races and ethnicities is personal responsibility and accountability. Paris Hilton is just one of millions of people who are just like her who do things because they simply believe in their heads they can get away with it. In Paris Hilton’s case she has no real concept of what the real world is like since she’s had everything given to her and hasn’t really worked for anything and thinks her money was going to buy her way out of jail. What the judge over this case was trying to do was using her as an example as what the law is and it’s clear you want to break the law you have to accept the consequences of your actions. Paris needs to see what life is like without all that money and the paparazzi chasing you all over the world she’ll have a better appreciation for the work her grandfather made of himself to provide a comfortable life for his family to where they have no need or want for anything. This is the very behavior that would make Paris’ great-grandfather Conrad spin in his grave because he’s looking the sheer wastefulness of what his socialite great-granddaughter is doing with the empire and fortune he built from the ground up.
Paris is in her 20s at what point does personal accountability supercede denial and trying to buy your way out of something because you got endless money and all you think that cutting a check for something will make it go away. This will be on her record and no matter what she pulls it’s not going to go away. It’s pretty sad that it had to get to this point had Paris followed the conditions of her probation or whatever the court instructed, but NO she’s Paris Hilton she can’t be seen going to jail it’s not good for her image. To be frankly honest her image hasn’t been good since she hit the scene more than 5 years ago and when that sex tape was released to the internet by her then boyfriend Ric Solomon-ex husband of actress Shannen Doherty. Even then Paris was trying to put on that front of hers which also just says she wasn’t taking responsibility for the fact that you allowed yourself to be exploited for someone else’s financial gain.
It doesn’t seem as if Paris or her sister Nicole had some kind of structured life because it was all either spent with nannies and housekeepers while their mother was being the typical wealthy socialite flossing out the latest designer handbag other than being a mother to her children. It was clear that Paris lacked not only education, but common sense as well since she made a comment about having 4 kids and leaving them with a nanny, what kind of idiot thinks that children are indispensable property it’s like when she gets tired of something after a day and tosses it away and goes out and buys a new thing. This is why she’s not ready to be a parent since kids to her would be like a cashmere sweater in style one minute and out the next since she would throw the kids off on a nanny and basically resume her wild partying lifestyle.
Paris’ parents are trying to act like parents now when it should have started before Paris turned 5 since by the time kids get to that age they’re pretty much set in their ways in terms of behavior, but it doesn’t excuse them from thinking that because they got all this money they’re permitted to buy their way out of things when they need to be held accountable for their behavior. When you mix poor parenting and lack of education this is what you have. Paris didn’t help Britney Spears much with her partying and fast lifestyle and then you see them photographed with her son Sean Preston when a baby doesn’t need to be at the club with grown adults when he needs to be home. Britney didn’t learn much from her friendship with Paris and neither has Lindsay Lohan. Paris can’t even begin to talk about anything rational and then get out here acting a real fool. Then you got young girls out here who idolize Paris and her partying ways and that also comes to another point she’s a terrible role model to young girls and women everywhere. Paris Hilton could have made something of herself like helping to run the family business, but she’s too busy living off the fame of her family name and the fruits of her grandfather and great-grandfather’s labor.
If this were one of these rich kids who wasn’t famous like Paris the parents would have been done something about the issue at hand it wouldn’t have gotten to the point they would be bailing their behinds out of jail. Paris thinks this all one huge party when in fact maybe Mommy and Daddy need to ration her trust fund so she’ll learn financial responsibility and responsibility in life besides running around spending money like it’s going out of style. If she had to live on a budget the money would have a better appreciation for what she has and maybe that will wake her up that many people in this world are one pay check away from poverty while she’s living the lap of luxury has been doing that since she was born. She knows nothing else and that’s the sad reality she’s living in because for her to whine about a measly 45 days is nothing compared to the people that are being hauled off to jail going for sentences longer than Paris’ track record in the stupid fool department. She’s also a stupid fool in the education department since there’s nothing cool about dropping out of school because when you drop out you’re dropping a potentially bright future in whatever you set your ambitions to. Paris could have been anything she wanted career wise, but when she was given things too soon and too early without a lesson in learning about it’s role and responsibility and it’s purpose in the world and life.
Paris got famous for her last name nothing significant, but when we have photographers who chase her all over the place snapping pictures whether unflattering or not it doesn’t give Paris the incentive to grow up and start acting like an adult and with all the money she has she could be doing something a lot more productive than just being seen eating at the trendiest of restaurants and the top of the line shops in and outside of Los Angeles. Paris clearly has self esteem issues if she’s doing stuff like clubbing with Britney Spears wearing each other pantyhose and especially not using the sense God gave her when she was encouraging Britney on and getting out of her car wearing NO panties, this is the kind of pathetic nonsense that has young ladies of today thinking that she’s cool when in fact she’s a complete joke. It’s sad that she’s submitting a petition to appeal to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, asking to reverse the court’s sentence when why should he waste state resources and time to investigate this when Paris plain and simple broke the law and violated the terms of her probation-which at that time the court was being lenient, but the nonsense can only go so far before the court has to take further steps to drive the point home to say the buck stops here.
I hope the governor rejects Paris’ half-cocked plea when she needs to assume responsibility for her actions and had she complied with her court ordered probation she wouldn’t have to face jail time. The judge and the court was just simply doing their job and that’s to enforce and uphold the laws and statutes in the state of California. Paris isn’t going to use her fame and social standing to get leniency for a poor choice to go out driving when she had full knowledge of her driving privileges being suspended. Paris forgot that having a driver’s license is not a right, but a privilege and should be treated as such. Just because you’re a heiress to the Hilton fortune in a court of law you’re just a name and a case number and the judge’s job is to hand down punishment appropriate to the crime. As they say if you do the crime, you do the time.
