Pause For A Dingy To Bring Him Ashore

Poetry From The Heart

Pause for a dingy to bring him ashore
multicolored leaves, flies and mixes near the pier.
A carroty hued sky of fall season frames
amid the sea’s motionless painting
unlocking my heart, the gateway of unknowns
aim to emit a peachiness like my attire.

The dockside is a medley of nostalgic beauty
a mixture of gold’s and tinges of auburn.
It’s an eternity standing here in the wings
posed to meet a love converted to a stranger.
A treasure of long ago, drifted away with seasons
left me fixed on a landing-stage of life.

It’s shocking I’m here…but,
sensations remain within cause’s sadness
a desire to renew intimate spirits
craved to arouse dormant embers of promises
once spoken in a truthful and reflective voice
lost in the ages of a youthful military life.

I pause for a dingy to bring him ashore
yearn to renew haunting essences in life
end memories of longings and wishes.
A reflective voice once spoke of commitment
to love, marriage and children…
I pause for a dingy to bring him ashore.
