People’s Democratic Party (PDF) leadership have expressed very serious concern over the lethargic attitude of Revenue Department and its immediate boss secretary, for not providing requisite relief to the sufferers of border firing. Provincial President, Tej Ram Dogra, while lambasting revenue officers and allied concerned persons for discrimination with people of border residents in Jammu area, who happened to be the victim of border firing, said that all the machinery under the governor has been doing pillar to post for Kaashmir flood victims.
While suggesting amicable solution for border migrants, Dogra said there are thousands of kanals of land occupied by illegal occupants which could be freed and allotted to border migrants. Dogra while raising figure at the administration under the governor said that governor has un-necessarily empowered secretaries, who do not know how to deal the affairs.
Referring to revenue secretary, Dogra said that he (RS) is submitting false response to the queries of commoners as well as information seekers. In a specific case, revenue secretary has said that unless there is a minister, no task could be carried forward. The case was about much publicized of fake PRCs. Dogra said that after confirming from governor house, it was learnt that secretary revenue has the all obligation to get done this task as being a government servant.
It is not with just revenue department, Dogra said and added that DDC’s are not doing their work properly as if they the owners of state. Citing example of border visit of Div Com and DDC, Dogra said that both had been visiting as if they are at tourist trip and not at services entitled to them. He urged the governor to take the cognizance or leave the people of state at their fate once for all.
