Addressing election rallies at Rafiabad, Baramulla and Pattan he said that people have understood the tricky and deceitful politics of PDP aimed at dividing people to seek power. “They are out to reject this policy once for all and get rid of the propagators of lies and falsehood”.
Mr. Omar said that next six years of NC-Congress coalition in the state would be the golden period of development where everyone will enjoy equal opportunity to grow and develop adding that justice would be the benchmark of the governance of his government. “Our every effort would be to seek welfare for all areas and to reach out people in far flung and remote pockets for all round development”. Chief Minister said and added that whatever commitment he has made to the people during the electioneering of 2008 assembly elections would be fulfilled.
Asking people not to get carried away by the false propaganda of PDP leadership aimed at maligning NC-Congress coalition government, Chief Minister described PDP an amalgam of rumour mongers. “They spread lies, misled people and fish in trouble waters”, he said and added that presently PDP is spreading the brazen lie about increasing toll tax by the government which is totally baseless. He said government has not increased the toll tax rates nor intends to do so. PDP spreads the rumour about toll tax increase just to led astray fruit growers for vote bank politics, he asserted.
Mr. Omar said people were themselves witness to the PDP’s backing out with regard to its commitment made to public in 2002 assembly elections promising two employments to each household. “Hollow sloganeering and emotional blackmailing of this party has now become public and people do not trust its leadership at all”, he added.
Chief Minister asking the people to vote for National Conference candidate for Baramulla parliamentary constituency, Mr. Sharif-ud-Din Shariq in large number adding that vote to NC candidate means vote to peace and development. He said that National Conference has roots in masses and it has always upheld its commitment to serve the people and represent them in the national fora like Parliament. “We will continue to work towards this direction and seek all round development for Jammu & Kashmir”.
Mr. Omar Abdullah said that the struggle of National Conference for permanent peace and continuous development of Jammu & Kashmir will to on unabated to achieve the ultimate goal of permanent peace and prosperity.
