Jammu,January 02, (Scoop News)- Shri Ram Sena Jammu and Kashmir state President Rajiv Mahajan said that for the formation of a stable and rational government in the Jammu and Kashmir state it is mandatory to form a PDP- BJP coalition government and that is also clear from the verdict thrown out in the recently held assembly elections, PDP getting maximum support from Kashmir Division and BJP from Jammu Division. Mahajan asks both PDP and BJP to forge alliance on basis of “common minimum programme” in the better interest of Jammu and Kashmir public without wasting any more time.
Rajiv Mahajan accused Indian National Congress, National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party for creating political instability in Jammu and Kashmir State where a government is yet to be formed after 10 days of declaration of election results. The Jammu and Kashmir elections brought out a hung verdict with the PDP emerging as the single largest party with 28 seats ( Maximum from Kashmir Division), while BJP the second largest party with 25 seats (All from Jammu Division), National Conference and Congress winning 15 and 12 seats respectively.
Mahajan said under the purview of present mandate it becomes mandatory to frame a government that represent both Divisions of Jammu and Kashmir state. The Grand Alliance (PDP, Cong and NC combine) as optioned by some politicians would definitely prove counterproductive and shall be inviting revolt in the state, which Shri Ram Sena will not tolerate at any cost.
Mahajan further said if the Grand alliance is forged, it means the government so formed has an agenda of separating Kashmir from Jammu Division as well as rest of the country with no representation from Jammu Division. And in that case Shri Ram Sena will rise for demand of a separate Jammu state.
Mahajan appealed the State Governor NN Vohra to impose Governor’s Rule to save the State from trifurcation, if Grand Alliance comes into existence.
