Jammu, June 06 (Scoop News)- Seeking support of every region and sub-region of the Jammu and Kashmir to take the movement for change to its logical conclusion, patron of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today said that just concluded Lok Sabha polls have accelerated the process of change in the State. He asserted that with
the support of every section of the society, PDP was committed to take this process to the logical conclusion.
“Results of 2014 Lok Sabha polls have marked a new beginning for the State as these elections have boosted the winds for change in J&K”,Mufti said and pointed out that people of the State have rejected the exploitative and deceit politics of National Conference.
“Residents of Jammu and Kashmir have accepted PDP as a viable and credible alternative of the present regime”, Mufti said whileaddressing meeting of the district units of Jammu rural and Samba here this morning.
To review performance of party in Jammu region during Lok Sabha polls, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had convened series of meetings of different units of Jammu province and got feed back from grass-root level
workers and senior leaders.
Exhorting party cadre to approach every sections of the State to seek mandate of the people to fulfill the unfinished agenda of sustainable peace and inclusive growth, Mufti reiterated commitment of PDP to pursue the policy of equitable and balanced development in Jammu and Kashmir.
“During its tenure in the power PDP had proved how to treat all regions and sub-regions equally”, he said and recalled that it during PDP led regime that institutional arrangements were made for economic and political empowerment of all regions of the State. He reminded party leaders that PDP led regime had launched a comprehensive process
of inclusive growth and infrastructural development in the State.
Stating that PDP has a comprehensive and visionary agenda for every region of the State, Mufti said that being a strong, genuine and credible regional voice, his party has formulated a roadmap to address issues concerning every sections of the society. He assured that PDP would set up a system of transparency and accountability where every individual would get equal opportunity of growth and development.
“During our tenure we had proved how to bring transparency and accountability in the governance”, he recalled and mentioned that it was only during PDP led regime that governance was brought to the door
steps of people.
Mufti reaffirmed that PDP’s agenda was to ensure political, economic and social security to all regions and every section of the society.

Reminding that PDP led regime had rekindled a ray of hope among residents of Jammu and Kashmir by restoring their faith in democracy and democratic institutions, Mufti regretted that present anarchist regime has reversed the whole process of peace and development in J&K during its tenure. “Due to the oppressive and anti-people policies of the present dispensation, alienation among people has been growing with every passing day”, he said and added that the present regime has again pushed J&K into a gloomy scenario of despair as system was completely collapsed in the whole State.
“Change is must to get people of J&K out of this morass”, he said and called upon party leaders and workers to involve every section of the society in the struggle for change.
Reiterating his resolve to facilitate dialogue between India and Pakistan to restore durable peace in this region, Mufti said that it was only during the regime of PDP that sincere steps were taken to improve relations between two neighbouring countries. He, however, regretted that present regime headed by National Conference has failed to carry forward agenda of peace, which was started by the previous government.
