Ashok Bhat urged the Govt. to redress the long pending demands of the Community at the earliest and immediate remedial measures be taken. Mr Bhat said that the failure of the Govt. to grant age relaxation to over-aged unemployed Youth is cause of concern as they are in total desperation. The promises made by the Chief Minister Jb. Omar Abdullah in Apex Committee meeting that over-aged Kashmiri Pandits Youth will be given age relaxation which seems to be only hollow slogan to befool the people. PDP Miniority Cell urged the Govt. to settle this issue immediately as the future of these youth is otherwise dark .
Expressing concern over statement given by Minister of State for R&B Javed Ahmed Dar at Bohri, he said that Dar Sahib does not know the facts as to why KPs were forcibly evicted from the Valley. Jugal Kishore Sharma said that on one hand the prices of essential commodities are going up with each passing day and it has become very difficult for a common man to arrange even 2-time meal for the family. The migrants who are totally dependent on the government relief have been the worst sufferer. Only Rs. 41.56 are being paid as relief per member in a family, which is a cruel joke as this meagre amount cannot buy even one time meal for a person, leave aside other daily needs. Extending full support to the genuine demand of the Kashmiri migrants, the MLA said that their relief should be enhanced and it should be atleast Rs. 120 per day.
