Islamabad: Pakistan parliament in the recent in-camera sessions briefed the parliamentarians and politicians about the security situation inside the country and at the borders; moreover, the parliamentarians expressed their concerns at the deteriorating security situation in the border regions of Pakistan and the air strikes of the US drones and the killing of innocent civilians.
Pakistan parliament also condemned the US invasions on the border regions and passed a resolution against it and pledged to defend the country’s sovereignty at any cost.
The politicians also said that whenever Pakistan tries to strike a peace deal in the tribal areas or somewhere else with the insurgents, some air strikes from US sabotage it, they also quoted the incident of Bajaur when the government was going to sign a deal with maulana Naik Muhammad when that night the madrassa was targeted by the US planes and killed more than 80 innocent students and then Pakistan has seen a chain if suicide attacks all over the country which claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians as well as security men and actually Pakistan should reconsider the policy of cooperation in the war on terror with US., in the presence of these incidents,however,the public opinion is turning against the Pakistan’s presence in the alliance.
A senior political expert and former ambassador, Tariq Fatimi warned the Pakistani government to avoid the IMF option, because it will bring inflation in the country, devalue the currency, and the masses that is already facing great troubles due to increasing prices of the basic necessities in Pakistan and also termed it as a bitter pill to swallow.
Pakistan’s economy is also in crisis these days and government is expecting IMF to extend the hand of help to it, besides that serious energy shortage and frequent power cuts have become the part of normal life of a common Pakistani national and the life has become miserable.
