Jammu, December 29, (Scoop News)- Reiterating resolve of the Peoples Democratic Party to fulfill wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society, party MLA from Shangus, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain today said that PDP is aware of the hardships being faced by the displaced Kashmiri Pandits living in different parts of the state.
Addressing a meeting of Kashmiri Pandits at Jammu, in which Sunil Ji Bali was appointed as coordinator of migrant wing of Shangus assembly segment, Peerzada Mansoor said that PDP was committed to solve problems of the Kashmiri Pandit migrants and the party has formulated a policy in this regard.
He said that without Kashmiri Pandits Kashmir is incomplete and their return is must to restore the aged old traditions and culture of brotherhood. “We are very much aware that for the last nearly two decades displaced community has been facing lot of hardship due to their displacement from their homes and hearths”, he pointed out and hoped that days are not far when Kashmiri Pandits would return to their native places.
While seeking support of the Kashmiri Pandits for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Mr Mansoor said that it was need of the hour to strengthen PDP, which is committed to restore peace in the State by restoring dignity and honour of all sections of the society.
During the meeting leader of the migrant wing of the PDP highlighted problems being faced by the displaced community and asked the party leadership to take up problems of the community at appropriate platform. Pointing towards the problems being faced by the community, KP leaders said that State Government has done nothing to solve their problems. They said that Prime Minister’s Employment Package was also not properly utilized and the government was not serious to solve their problems. MLA Shangus announced construction of a community hall at Uma Nagari temple at Brari Angan in Achawal area. He said that he will take up this issue with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir. He assured to sanction funds from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the community hall. Peerzada Mansoor Hussain also announced to construct a park from his CDF near temple of Bhatpura Brati. He further said that temple of Chatragul would also be brought on the tourist map. A large number of activists of migrant wing of PDP also addressed the meeting
