Kathmandu February 19: The Ex queen of Nepal, Komal Rajya Laxmi Shaha celebrated her 61st birthday here in Nimal Niwas Maharajgung, Kathmandu among her supporters and general public. People flocked to the Royal abode from early morning where people were seen chanting well wishes for the royal family with placard and rally. Different cultural and artistic performances were performed during the session. The ex-queen audience everyone who came to her abode and courteously addressed them.
Ram Cheetri, a supporter said, “No matter what, Nepal’s royal will always live in people’s heart, they are our parents and we are bound to respect them because it due to their fore contribution that Nepal exist which cannot be denied. I wished our Queen, happy birthday and pray for her well being and prosperity. Long live royalty and long live the king.”
Monarchy in Nepal was taken down by the newly formed coalition government on December 24, 2007 where people at times have been raising their voices to bring back monarchy highlighting the bad governance and management.
