The Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension (CACE&E), University of Jammu organized a workshop on "Personality Development" at the Government Higher Secondary school Smailpur, Purmandal block under its field outreach and extension activity programmes. Over hundred students of class 12th participated in the workshop which was entitled as "Introductory Workshop on Personality Development". The key speaker of the workshop was Mr. Sumit Sharma, Programme Officer, Radio Kashmir Jammu who is an expert on personality development and has developed various modules on the theme besides having presented and conducted various lectures and workshops in various schools and colleges of Jammu region. The workshop covered various aspects of personality components in details. The students actively interacted and participated in the workshop which lasted for over two hours. Various components of a composite personality including confidence, clarity of expression, voice personality etc. were taken up the expert. In this highly interactive workshop aimed at personality development of student community in higher secondary schools of Jammu, the expert made students to introduce themselves. The students who exhibited great confidence, were further called and made to assemble in the group. The expert made various points as to how this group of the students is different form the rest of the students. Various queries were put forward by the students and the expert clarified all these queries of the students about how to improve this aspect of the personality where they can feel more confident to take initiative in their lives. Various confidence and personality enhancement exercises were conducted with the students. Light refreshment was also served to the students. Dr Bharti Prabhkar, Project Officer, Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension (CACE&E),was the initiating officers of the programme while Mr. Sandeep Singh, Project officer, CACE&E, coordinated the workshop. Mrs. Bimla Bhagat Principal, Govt. Higher Secondary School Smailpur, presented the welcome address and appreciated effort of the CACE&E for the field outreach activities of the Centre.
