PetroSaudi international, founded in 2005, is a privately owned Oil Company.
Working in pair with John Mahama’s initiative to enable visas, the Saudi Arabia based company offered transportation to Jeddah for 320 stranded Ghanaian pilgrims.
Tarek Essam Ahmad Obaid, PetroSaudi’s co founder, stated the initiative of allocating a national Boeing 747 for those pilgrims as a proof of the company’s commitment to Ghana,
“In the spirit of the friendly and expanding ties between Ghana and Saudi Arabia, Petro Saudi international is honoured to lease a Boeing 747 to transport hundreds of stranded Ghanaian Pilgrims to perform Hajj”
Adding those 320 pilgrims to the final countdown, 4’300 is the number of Ghanaians taking part in the holy pilgrimage this year.
This action shows, once again, Saudi Arabia’s willingness to help fellow Muslims from other countries.
