PESHAWAR: Pakistan International Airline-PIA has started direct flights between Peshawar, capital of North West Frontier Province of Pakistan and Kabul, capital of Afghanistan.
“PIA operated its first flight PK-249 from Peshawar on January 31. The plane take off at 09:30 am on Satureday morning “, PIA authority confirmed. According to PIA authority colletively there were 24 people on board including crew, Islamabad passengers and 19 pasengers from Peshawar. The return ticket from Peshawar to Kabul is approximatly Pakistani rupees 35,000, PIA authority said.
“Kabul is at a travel of 50 minutes from Peshawar”, PIA Station Manager Qamar Zaman told this correspondent. He said there will be one flight in week and that is on satureday. “After a very long time PIA direct flights between Kabul and Peshawar will prove benefitial for the people of both cities”, he added.
