16 Pilgrims reached back to Chitral.
CHITRAL: As well as 6 pilgrims reached back to Chitral. They were flown from Islamabad to Chitral through national flag carrying airline (PIA. They were warmly welcomed by elites of Chitral. As main land route of Chitral had blocked due to heavy snowfall which was re-open by NHA on Saturday for light traffic. Meanwhile social and political circle of Chitral have appeals high ups of PIA for transacting PIA flight through Peshawar between Islamabad Chitral. They said that direct flight from Islamabad to Chitral carrying less passengers as well as there are numerous passengers waiting at Peshawar airport for flight to came Chitral. On one hand passengers facing great problems while on the other hand PIAC also facing financial loss. They have appeals to touch Peshawar airport instead of direct flight from Islamabad to Chitral so as to address public problems.
To decrease frustrations, suicide ratio in women folk is only possible to educate them. Speakers in a seminar on human rights.
CHITRAL: Speakers in an awareness-raising workshop stressed upon parents to must educate their daughters that are the only way to empower them. They said that some parents discriminating among sons and daughters in their education which is totally injustice because a daughter also having equal rights of education and affectionate treatment of her parents. Awareness raising workshop was organized by EAAJP a project of Legal Awareness Program for Human Rights (LAPH) funded by Trocaire in collaboration with Human Rights Monitoring Committee (HRMC) Garamchishma. Principal of Pamir Degree College and Former senior bureaucrat Islamuddin was chief guest on the occasion while the ceremony was presided over by Durdana Shah head of Aga Khan Regional Arbitration Council. Mrs. Mukhtar Bibi coordinator of HRMC G.Chishma welcome to guests and all participants. While Niaz A Niazi Advocate member board of Director highlighted human rights on legal point of view. He said that ascertaining of rights and duties is must to know by every one. If community not harass other people by exploiting their rights there would be no human rights violation. As the United Nation have declared basic human rights in Human Rights Chartered 1948. This is responsibility of a welfare state to provide all basic amenities to its people.
Dr. Walayat Khan also stressed upon the parent to educate their children equally that is the only one way for eradicating their frustrations and to empower women. Addressing to the workshop Islamuddin Principal of Pamir Degree College said that human rights violation occurring daily in current scenario but we ignore it as a result its ratio increasing day by day and create imbalance and tense situation in the society. He said that there is no female interpretational of Islamic law and due to no female scholar it feelings imbalance. They must to come forward and to study Islamic rules to fight for their genuine rights. He expressed his concern over that some husbands getting monthly salaries of their wives who are serving in different organization that is second way of slavery. Some women are badly exploiting by men because of their illiteracy and no awareness about their basic rights. He stressed upon the parents to must educate their children especially their daughters to empower them and to enable them to raise a voice for their rights. He said practices of illiteracy period before Islam is still exercising in some parts of the country. As girls are being marrying with Quran to deprive her from her heirs and property rights. As at some places they are killing in fake defaming cases like Korakori to occupy their land only but these tactics having no justification. He said that in educational institutions only 20% are female students because their parents not like to spend money at their education. He emphasized upon mother to aware, look after and educate their daughters, as a mother lap is the first university for a child and female are being exploiting by an other female. Basic change and awareness is must in children otherwise they victims by drug addicting and mentally disturbance due to regular grudges between their parents. He said that women fold should to adopt innovative income generation policies that are the first stair to empower them and to be recognized by men. He highly hailed LAPH for organizing such workshops for raising awareness among the people of such backward areas.
At last Durdana Shah Khaleefa of Aga Khan Arbitration & Reconciliation council also expressed his views. He demanded from LAPH for continuation of these workshops and seminars for creating awareness among the masses. A question answer session was also held during the workshop. A large number of male and women folk attended the workshop.
