Jammu,January 23, (Scoop News)-Kashmiri Pandits today expressed its gratitude to the All Party Parliamentary Group led by Bob Blackman for bringing Early Day Motion (EDM) in the House in UK on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Holocaust day of the Pandits.
President Panun Kashmir (PK), a premier political organization of the displaced community, Ashwani Chrangoo, expressed satisfaction over the manner in which the Kashmiri Pandit holocaust issue was raised at various levels by the Kashmiri Pandit active groups throughout the globe. He said that it is gratifying to note that the Parliamentarians in UK tabled an important motion in the house expressing their concern about the Kashmiri Pandits, the indigenous people of Kashmir, now living in exile. It is in tune with the resolution introduced by the Congressman Frank Pallone in the US House of lawmakers three years ago.
Mr. Chrangoo also expressed his sincere thanks to the KP activists in UK who were instrumental in making this to happen. We are reminded of a similar resolution that was brought by the Madhya Pradesh Government in favour of the displaced Pandit community in the year 2009. This is a major headway for the Kashmiri Pandit struggle in exile and we stand emboldened with this great gesture of the international community.
Virender Raina, National spokesperson-PK, who recently attended an international conference on the fate and future of the people living in mountains, gave a brief of his presentation made in the Conference at Dehradun.
