Jammu, November 06 (Scoop News)- Panun Kashmir deplores the acts akin to genocide being perpetuated by state govt against the displaced kashmiri pandit community.Dr Agnishekhar while addressing the political affairs committee of panun kashmir warned the govt not to test the patience of exiled community of pandits of Jagti township
Inspite of assurance given by the state govt, on the intervention of President of India and the repeated pleas by panun
Vijay Bhat President Panun Kashmir castigated the the Govt for ignoring the basic needs of the inmates of Jagti township. The dead among the community are not even spared by the callous attitude of the authorities due non existence of the of cremation ground at Jagti Township they have to be ferried 10to 15 kms away for last rites incurring huge expenditure and inconviance to the people.Time and again the assurance and commitments made by the govt functionaries in this regard have found wanting
The unprecedented power cut of 16to 18 hrs is a total disregard of the basic human rights of the exiled community living in these camps. This has turned the whole township in concentration camp where old infirm and ailing are sure to lose a battle against the death in these prevailing conditions . Students studies suffer badly for the virtual non supply of power in Jagti town ship. The sewerage and drainage of the township is in complete mess proving a health hazard for the inmates of the camp. seepage and accumulation of gas in kitchens and flats in township are a constant source of worrry for the people living in flats.
Likewise, while there was more than adequate transport arrangements in purkhoo.muthi.and mishriwallah at the same time only a few mini buses plied to and fro Jagati for which usually, a long wait of two to three hours for the transport service, coupled with overcrowding were wrecking the worst to the residents. It is intriguing to observe such a scenario, when to all intents and purposes, the supply of and the demand for mini buses were very much favourable rather supplies outstretching the demand, the inmates are made to suffer and their mobility impaired.
Convener Panun Kashmir Dr Agnishekhar warned the state of dire consequences of these inhuman practices the authorities are practicing for wiping out the a religious minority of kashmir to decimate the resistance to jehad and separatisim. The meeting was also addressed by sanjay dattatreya, sanjay raina, kamal hak from ncr, shiban khaibri and omjee bhat
