This list is endless and can be filled as much as one can to meet the requirement
of number of words,
sentences, phrases, paragraphs and pages.
(II)My attitude about plagiarism is optimistic and generalized because
everything you will right about any topic, .it will be available by many other
authors also except in exceptional cicumstances. So it will be considered an
act of plagiarism to some extent at least.
There are hardly any untouched fields particularly literary. So even if your work is
original there are chances that it may be treated as an act of idea theft. Even the
religious and motivational fields are not untouched.
As per my view we should try to think about a topic, brood over it and try to
express it in your own words.
(III)Penalities common in the US institutes about plagiarism are :
1.Fialure to meet course or assignment requirements.
2.A mark "F" meaning failed is stamped on the plagiarized works.
3.Sometimes the entire course is considered incomplete or failed.
4.Suspension of the studies or particular works which are considered and
proved plagiarized.
5.Expulsion from the institute particularly the universities.
6.Action is taken on the basis and advise of "Students Rights and
Responsibilities Act".
7.The cases are pursued in strict confidence accordance with the Family
Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.
These penalities can be summed up as :
–Failed mark on the paper
–Repetion of the same course, subject, assignment or paper.
–Disciplinary Probation
–Suspension
–Expulsion
–Affects/Effects of expulsion from a faculty.
–Expulsion from the university.
Laws are somewhat variable from institution to institution and state to state as
per fixed grading standards.
(IV).Plagiarism can be avoided by :
–Combined efforts of all
–Students, Faculty, Administration, Parents and Families should all be involved to
curb this menace of plagiarism
–Strict norms, rules and regulations should be formed to declare someone’s work
as plagiarized.
–These norms should be strictly followed
–Punishment should be promptly given and no one should be spared whatsoever
may be the reason for plagiarism
–Everyone,students,teachers,advisors,philosophers,authors,writers,etc, should
be encouraged for innovative thinking.
–They should be advised to think a topic, brood over it, have a good mental view
of every aspect of the chosen topic.
–The subject should be studied deeply and previous works about that particular
subject should be thoroughly studied.
–We should to chose and write about the untouched or lesser touched and
studied topics.
–The very thought/idea about plagiarism should be expelled out of our mind.
–The borrowed words, sentences, phrases, paragraphs, articles, essays should
be written as per original author’s writing and if any changes are made, they
should be duly mentioned.
–The quotes should be named along with the name their original author.
–The very thought and idea of plagiarism should be shunned because nothing
can escape the truth.
