Platinum jubilee of Presentation Convent School in Srinagar

Srinagar, April 12 (Scoop News) – Chairman Board of School Education Sheikh Bashir Ahmed was the Chief Guest on the closing ceremony of Platinum jubilee celebrations of Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School, Rajbagh. The platinum jubilee celebrations were flagged off on 17th march 2011 and various activities and competitions were held during the year. Many developmental activities were also undertaken by the school during these celebrations.

The closing function was attended by Principal Sister Jyoti, Vice Principal Sr. Reggi, Manager, Sr. Phillis, Principal Burn Hall School Fr. Ivan Mathew, Vice Principal Burn Hall School, Fr. Sebastian, teachers and students. Amongst the dignitaries present were Aamir Ali, OSD with Div Com Kashmir and Er. Nawab Ahmed AEE PDD. The programme was also attended by the managing committee members of the school, Advocate Mir Syed Latief, Shamim Mohammed and Atif Ahmed. The Students presented various impressive cultural programmes on the occasion, depicting the historical background of the school. The School magazine “Qandeel” was released by the Chairman BOSE.

Speaking on the occasion Sheikh Bashir Ahmed appreciated the high standard of education maintained by the School and assured that BOSE would always support institutions of excellence. He congratulated the children on having topped in the Board exams.
