PMDC issued notices to Doctors in death of criminal negligence of Farhan 13. Chairman NCHR took suo moto action in death of Farhan case against doctors.

CHITRAL: Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) issued notices to Doctors of Hayatabad Medical complex (HMC), Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) and Naseerullah Khan Babar Memorial Hospital Kohat Road (NKBMH) Peshawar as well as Assistant Professor Dr. Siddique Ahmad of HMC in criminal negligence in death of Muhammad Farhan.
According to detail 13 years old Muhammad Farhan son of senior Journalist Gul Hamaad Farooqi was suffering from pain in his abdomen with fever and vomiting who was immediately rushed to NKBMH Peshawar twice on 29 July 2016 where doctor on duty in casualty and Dr. Speen Gul in children OPD ignored him two times sent him back declaring that the patient has no illness.
He was rushed to LRH on 30 July two times at Morning and night where doctor on duty at main casualty referred him to Children/pediatric surgical emergency unit but doctor on duty in Morning and night not admitted him for appendix surgery and sent him back by writing him medicines for 5 days.
He was carried to main OPD at HMC on 2 August where doctor disclosed that his appendix has been rupture (burst) and he was serious due to appendicitis. He was admitted in Surgical A Unit of HMC but doctors not conducted his operation immediately to save his life despite that his appendix has already been ruptured. His father called to Dr. Siddique Ahmad of the same ward requesting for his son,s operation but he also ignored the patient.
Later on Trainee Medical Officers (TMO) and junior doctors opened him with a failure operation who became serious and referred to Incentive Care Unit (ICU) but there was no bed vacant later on he was referred to KTH where he expired after one hour.
His father submitted applications to registrar PMDC who was directed to submit his application on stamp paper signing by two witnesses and attested by Magistrate class one. After doing the needful PMDC issued notice to Dr. Siddique Ahmad and doctors of HMC, LRH and NKBMH through Medical Superintendent/Director to submit their comments within 21 days for further necessary action.
It is to notify for information of general public that in case of complaint of any doctor or hospitals they should to write their complaint on stamp paper at least of value 20 rupees addressed to Registrar of PMDC signed by two witness and duly attested by Magistrate Class-I and should to send with hospital documents to Registrar Pakistan Medical and Dental Council G-10/4 Mauve area Islamabad phone number 051-92106163, 92106166 for taking action against the doctors and after declaring guilty their licenses will be cancelled by PMDC who will be no more doctor.
Another good aspect in Farhan death is taking suo moto action by chairman National Commission for Human Rights Islamabad. Mr. Justice Ali Nawaz Chohan chairman NCHR took suo moto action on a news clips of The News of 14 November in which father of Farhan had termed Farhan death due to criminal negligence of doctors caused for his death. The honorable chairman have issued notice to Secretary health KPK to submit detail report in this regard and an other notice was issued him to send his report before 8th December.

AS well as Director Human Rights Cell Supreme Court of Pakistan and Peshawar High Court also has issued notices to Secretary Health M Abid Majeed to submit detail report regarding criminal negligence’s by doctor in Farhan death. But KP Police badly failed to lodge any FIR against these doctors despite submitting written applications to Station House Officer police station Khan Razziq Shaheed, SHO Police station Banamanri and PS Hayatabad as well as IGP KPK. The journalist approached district and Session Judge Court Peshawar for lodging FIR against Doctors under 22-A of Cr Pc.
In case of any violation of human rights complainant can submit their written application to Director Human Rights Cell Supreme court Islamabad as well as High Court.
Meanwhile social and political circle and journalist community from the entire country hailed PMDC and highly appreciated chairman NCHR by terming him an honest officer for taking suo moto action in death of innocent Farhan who was died due to criminal negligence of doctors at Govt hospitals of Peshawar.
