They chanted slogans against the government. They protesters termed the decision very historical and unique.
The ladies wing of the PML (N) also staged a mass demonstration and joined the main rally in front of press club. The protesters condemned the court decision of disqualification of Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif. They said that the decision would increase Sharif brother’s fame more and more.
Pakistan Muslim League NWFP chapter president Amir Muqam said they respect the court decision. “The court decision of Sharif brothers disqualification will politically destabilize the country once again,” Amir Muqam disclosed.
On the other hand, NWFP Bar Council called three days boycott of court activities of Peshawar High courts and the lower courts through out the province. The decision was taken in an emergency meeting presiding by vice chairman NWFP bar council Ahmad Farooq Khattak.
“The announcement of three days complete boycott of the court activities through out the province is solidarity with PML (N),” the vice chairman of the NWFP Bar Council Ahmad Farooq Khattak added. “The purpose of the decision of disqualification of PML (N) leadership is to prevent the long march of the lawyers community but they will never change the long march schedule,” he revealed.
The lawyers’ forum of the PML (N) also staged a protest in front of the Peshawar High Court. They said that even Shehbaz Sharif was not accused of hijacking the aeroplane. The demonstrators said that the decision would not avert them from the Lawyer’s Movement.
