Police arrested “Chota Geelani” in Srinagar

Srinagar,March 11 (Scoop News) –  Sopore police arrested the District president of Hurriyat “G” Ghulam Hassan Mir @ Chota Geelani from Srinagar.

Police said that in a major big through police station Sopore has arrested Ghulam Hassan Mir @ Choota Geelani son of Wali Mohammad Mir resident of Duroo Sopore, District president of Hurriyat “G”.

According to Police Chota Geelani was arrested in Srinagar and has been main instigator of violence in North Kashmir in 2008 and 2010. He has been collecting money from Bandsaw owners and fruit Mandi Sopore to continue violence.

Police said that he was involved in case FIR No. 96/2004 under section 13 U.L Act, FIR No. 318/2009 under section 174, 178, 336, 307 RPC, FIR No. 343/2010 under section 147, 148, 336, 307, 427 RPC, FIR No. 359/2010 under section 147, 436 RPC, FIR No. 369/2010 under section 147, 436 RPC, FIR No. 378/2010 under section 147, 436 RPC and FIR No. 401/2010 under section 147, 148, 336,307 RPC of police station Sopore.
