Police denies breach in CM’s security
Jammu, June 11
Jammu Police today contested Media reports on the alleged security breach of Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah during his interaction with Punches and Surpunches at RS Pura on Friday.
The spokesman of Jammu Police clarified that the person who tried to approach towards the CM was stopped by the Policeman on duty quite a distance away from the Chief Minster.
He was identified as Sohan Lal a constable. The spokesman said that the cop was neither on duty nor deployed with the CM security grid as reported by a section of Media. However, on finding him to be a policeman he was suspended on the spot and the enquiry into his conduct was ordered. The suspended cop has raised slogans in favour of Omar Abdullah and nothing was found with him by the security staff of CM. It was however, uncommon conduct for a constable in uniform for which action on spot was taken. On preliminary enquiry it has been found that he is undergoing treatment for mental depression and has largely recovered.
The spokesman vehemently reiterated there is no question of security breach of the Chief Minster.
