Police personnel donate blood at the ongoing camp

Jammu,October 25 (Scoop News)- The Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Mr R S Chib today visited the ongoing blood donation camp organized by state police department in connection with the observance of national Police Martyrs Day, here at Gulshan Ground.

Hundreds of J&K Police personnel from across the Jammu division have donated blood at the ongoing camp. The police personnel from each district are scheduled to donate the blood at the camp.

 Today   the police personnel from Kathua district offered donation at the camp as a mark of tribute to the police men who laid their life while serving the nation.

The Minister interacted with the Officers and Jawans of the police department and appreciated their gesture of donation towards society.

 He said that the police and other security personnel have made supreme sacrifices, particularly in the militancy infested state of Jammu and Kashmir to protect the life and property of the people. He hailed the organizers for arranging the blood donation at such a large scale – the most sought after life saving component. He said the blood collected at the camp will help in saving lives of hundreds of ailing people of the state.

Extending his heartfelt gratitude to the police men for offering the blood donation, the minister said it would help to make available good amount of stock at the GMC Blood bank which is one of the largest banks in India.

Among others, Inspector General of Police  Dilbag Singh, DIG Jammu Kathua Range  Farooq Khan, SSP Jammu  Anand Jain, Dr. T. R. Raina and senior police officers were also present on the occasion.

             Later, the minister visited Rameshwar dham R S Pura to pay tributes to SantGuru Dev Maharaj Ji on his 20th death anniversary. He also met with Swami Parkashnand ji who informed the Minister about the schedule of various activities of the Rameshwar dham which include Shoba Yatra which will be performed on October 26. Similarly the Bhandra will be held on October 30.
