Police want more space in IPL Season second revised schedule

India – New Delhi: The police chiefs from eight states have asked for bigger gap between the matches in the revised schedule for the Indian Premier LeagueTwenty20 Cricket tournament.

The eight states police chiefs that have the venues have written to the Union Home Ministry asking for bigger gaps between the matches in revised schedule. Currently there is no match in 72 hours on either side of the poll dates.

Home ministry sources say more than 72 hours are needed for deployment of CISF and CRPF. Also, it is learnt that the Intelligence Bureau is likely to advise against holding the matches in the said period.

But Lalit Modi IPL Commissioner says he has got the go ahead from the Home Ministry and that the new schedule will be out on Today.
