Political blackmailing by the anti-India forces on Kashmir: PK

Jammu, October 23 (Scoop News) –  Panun Kashmir today expressed  conceren over the recent statement of the Chief Minister and the subsequent appointment of the Interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir does not evoke the desired confidence in the national opinion.

In a statement Panun Kashmir said that silent talks are a   self-defeating process as we have seen in the past. Further the choice of the Interlocutors, without prejudice to their individual capacities leaves much to be desired. The said Interlocutors have made their opinions known from time to time and they seem to be at variance with the national mood on Kashmir issue.

In a statement PK said that the utterances of  Dilip Padgoanker such as terming the Kashmir issue as a “dispute” is unacceptable. This is the antithesis of the State policy on Jammu and Kashmir state. His statement that     “focus of this dialogue is to seek as large area of agreement as you can to get to arrive at a comprehensive, political settlement of the Kashmir dispute” transgresses the stated position and the unanimous Parliamentary resolution of 1994 on J&K state. In a situation where Kashmir is being referred to as a ‘dispute’ or a ‘problem’ by the Interlocutors before hand is an invitation to political blackmail by the anti-India forces.  Kashmir is politically a settled issue and cannot be reopened for the caprice and whims of the anti-national elements who are bent upon to balkanize the country.

Statement further said that The nation has recently witnessed a sickening drama of anti national forces in Delhi where they had assembled for a so-called seminar on Azadi. The panelists in the so-called seminar comprised the known faces of secessionism and terrorism in India . It is unfortunate that some people are arranging forums and giving platforms to these elements in the national capital to preach their seditious and antinational programmes. We condemn police action on the nationalist forces led by Panun Kashmir and other KP organisations who protested against the antinational propaganda in the seminar.  There is an urgent need for the civil society to put an end to such antinational activities.

On October 26th, Panun Kashmir will participate in the programme being organized by the Joint Forum of KP organisations at Purkhoo camp, Jammu .
