Big political groups in the Philippines are now busy preparing for the Presidential elections in 2010 in which the term of President Gloria Arroyo ends. These early, political figures in the land are now talking about running for president. The dominant parties of the administration has yet to announce their bet, but some close allies of the president had expressed their desire to run as president under the banner of their two political parties, the LAKAS CMD and the KAMPI parties.
On the other hand, the opposition were said to be having some difficulties of who would be their official bet. The fragmented political oppositions have their big guns likely to face each other in 2010 Presidential derby. Nobody seems to be giving up their possible candidacy and all of them have the backing of different sectors. 2010 is still far away but election fever is now in the minds of all politicos. Money sourcing through questionable and suspicious transactions is now moving in every government offices to fund the administration candidates.
Unlike in the US were the conducts of election is peaceful and the result is immediately known, election in the Philippines is the opposite. 2010 will be bloody because killings and election fraud will dominate the drama and the Philippines, as third world country will remain in the doldrums of hunger, poverty and restlessness.
