So far, Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois has been gaining ground in some of the battleground states crucial towards winning the United States Presidency this coming November. This is according to the latest CNN/Time Magazine/Opinion Research Corp. poll, though.
But, the poll results show that Obama is virtually tied with GOP nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona.
One of the states that Obama is gaining ground in is Colorado, which is considered a very vital battleground state. The poll shows that Obama has 51 percent while McCain has 47 percent. But, the results can change in the near future.
This is the result of September. Back in August, McCain lead over Obama in Colorado. McCain had a five point lead. But, the poll shows that Obama now has a four point lead in the state. Still, it can fluctuate back and forth.
CNN Polling Director Keating Holland explains that Obama is winning in Denver. However, Obama is still losing in other parts of Denver.
Also, the poll shows that Obama is gaining ground in Pennsylvania and Michigan. The state of Montana is included in the poll. But, McCain still has a sizable lead over Obama in Montana.
In a nutshell, Obama is gaining ground in some of the very crucial battleground states. But, the lead is not that much over McCain. Keep in mind that this is only according to the CNN poll results.
Remember, polls results do not tell who wins the election. The poll results can change in a few weeks.
