Post all local docs in respective areas: Peerzada

 

Srinagar, October 12 (Scoop News) –   Education Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed on Wednesday directed the health department authorities to post the doctors appointed under RBA category from Brang Kokernag Constituency to their respective places to fulfill the shortage of doctors in all the functional health institutions of Block Larnoo. He also directed them to release funds immediately for Gadool, Mathindoo, Keherpora and Sagam Primary Health Centres so that leftover works can be completed within a time frame.

These directions were given by the Minister in a review meeting convened to look at the problems and difficulties faced by the health institutions operating in Brang Constituency, today.

Threadbare discussion was held on medical facilities and equipments available in all the health institutions of Kokernag area.

It was informed in the meeting that 9 ambulances are available in block Larnoo, out of which 2 are non-functional. It was also informed in the meeting that operation table and laparoscopy are available in Sub-district hospital, Kokernag. Monitor and cautary order has already been placed to the authorized dealer, the meeting was told.

The Minister directed the Director Health Services, Kashmir to ensure functioning of these ambulances and release funds immediately for the purpose.

Peerzada also directed the concerned to pursue with the concerned and purchase equipments required for the operation theatre immediately and make theatre of Sub-district hospital, Kokernag functional by the end of this month.

Addressing the meeting, the Minister said that the government is committed to provide better medicare facilities to the people in every nook and corner of the State. He said that the centre is providing liberal funding under health sector adding need is to identifying the places that have no available medicare facilities at their door steps.          

Among others, Commissioner/Secretary, Health and Medical Education  G. A. Peer, Director Health Services, Kashmir, Chief Medical Officer, Anantnag and Block Medical Officer, Larnoo attended the meeting.
