Post emergency scenario in Pakistan

“Today on Tuesday 6-11-2007  two bombs were set off at 2:30 am in religious seminary of Shia sect located in KDA sector 1 Kohat no person is killed or injured only partial damage to the building is witnessed,” Rescue 15 police official has said.

Rumor regarding house arrest of President General Parvez Musharaf was promptly refuted by President Parvez Musharf himself while talking to REUTERS news agency he has declared the rumor as big joke, general Waheed of ISPR has also confirmed that there is no change in Army leadership. Meanwhile hundreds of violators of ban on protest demonstrations are arrested in Pakistan, few prominent leaders including Mr. Itizaz Ahsan  and ex ISI boss retired General Hameed Gul are also detained by government law enforcement agencies.

In Bannu district of NWFP where pressure of Taliban extremists were quite high numerous bomb explosions and beheading of two women in the past few months are faced by residents of Bannu, the moment news of emergency and suspension of constitution was spread in the district dancing crowds on beat of drum  came out on roads to celebrate imposition of emergency, “in Kohat district  eight Eunuch dancers and around sixty person under leadership of Haji Rehmat Din came out on streets and had danced on drum beat to celebrate the occasion” Haji Rehmat Din has said.

 “A peaceful protest meeting of lawyers was presided over by President Kohat Bar Association within the premises of Kohat Courts building, heavy contingent of police was deployed, after the meeting lawyers were peacefully dispersed” sources have said.
