PPPP will not boycott elections

‘Pakistan Peoples Party (Parliamentarian) will participate in elections, any effort to rig elections will be checked, I have people in important places in government whom had informed me that a rigging plan is under way, people need food, shelter and clothing, my party if came to power will strive to provide it to them’ Muhtarima Benazir Bhutto has said on Saturday, while addressing her party workers at residence of Zahir Shah in Peshawar capital of NWFP.

In a meeting with delegation of lawyers at residence of Mr. Zahir Shah in Peshawar, she has assured President Kohat Bar Council and candidate of PPPP for National Assembly seat NA 14 Kohat that she will come to Kohat to address the voters to boast up his election campaign.

She has further informed the lawyers delegation that political leaders involved in boycott of elections are striving to bring in another Army General as ruler of Pakistan, now that President Parvez Musharaf has agreed to lift emergency and provisional constitutional order and is willing to restore constitution on 16th of December 2007, there is no obvious reason to abstain from participation in election going to be held on 8th January 2008. Certain political leaders by staying out from electoral process are paving the way for another martial law in Pakistan.
